Lisa M. Bradley | email "The Starfish" takes place in South Texas, where the sunset indeed has a scent and light does bounce off chrome like comets. The setting is burned into my mind's eye, which is why I return to it again and again for my fiction and poetry. To experience more of Texas's gothic-desert glory, read my poem "Immobility" in the current Champagne Shivers and my story "Gehenesis," forthcoming in Black October Magazine.
Gary W. Conner | email | web site Gary W. Conner's work has appeared in Gothic.Net, Songs from Dead Singers, The Edge: Tales of Suspense, and Whispers from the Shattered Forum, among others. He has work in the anthology Beyond the Dust, due from Flesh & Blood Press in June, and is part of a three-author collection (Denying Death) due in trade paperback late this year from House of Dominion. This is his second appearance in 3LBE. For more information on Gary's work, visit his web site.
Cristina Legato Orr | email | web site Cristina has been showing her art in LA and Bay Area galleries since 1995. Her pieces have been published in Morbid Curiosity, Art Alternatives Annual, Implosion, and Dark Art's Parlour, as well as a number of online exhibitions. She has been a featured artist and worked with SOStv. She does not eat meat.
David J. Wright | email David Wright has always been fascinated with, and continually confounded by, the craft of storytelling. It's not necessarily those Important Works (note the capital letters) that light him up, but the really good stories, the ones that draw the reader in, hold the reader captive, won't let go until the story is done. These are stories that work best out loud, maybe around a campfire, and the audience is right there with the teller, laughing and cringing in all the right places, snatching looks over shoulders to make sure nothing is looming up out of the darkness. Oh yeah, that's the stuff.
Rew X | web site Rew X is deeply sorry for being late with this issue's cover artwork, and swears his is missing precious sleep to complete the back cover. He claims that he has sketched an elaborate invitation design, which will invite everyone over to his house to spank him personally. (Of course, he will probably be late sending out those invites.) |
