Principles
Quality, integrity, originality, and professionalism.
These are my guidelines for every client design project, large or small — from a logo to a complete branding package.
Customer service and deadline are factors of every project, but they are givens. My design philosophy emphasizes creativity and originality. There is so much bad design out there that I strive to make every logo, web site or illustration a very distinct design — one that will do myself and the client proud.
Process
Comprehend - understand the client's objectives and help them formulate business models, company brands, content strategy and make intelligent technology decisions.
Define - analyze the competition, content strategy and functionality, formulate a business rationale before beginning development.
Outline - outline a structure, navigation and content strategy.
Design - help client achieve a consistent and effective visual image — web and print. Create memorable brands, compelling interface designs, concise style guides and professional identity systems.
Build - assemble graphic components, build infrastructure, test solutions.
Launch - premiere web site, hand off disk, go to press. Content updates as needed, work with client to assess future needs.
No No's
Let's just get this out of the way: I will not design with the fonts Papyrus or Comic Sans.
huh?
Where does the name "owl soup" come from?
Andrew can't exactly say.
But he does like owls.
He likes to think of them as being outside of the cooking pot.
Can you think outside of the cooking pot?
